Because they were in a Regency style corset. My OH saw them in a see-thru mac in 1981 (when she tried to be a punk) and they were pretty saggy then.

Fiona Bruce is 50, you're...??? I don't think re-population would be the issue. Cocoa, shortbread biscuits and Dad's Army DVDs would be the only legacy you guys leave behind. 
I'd choose two Chavs from the local estate - they can survive just about anything and breed like rabbits. Of course without a diversified gene pool, the offspring will slowly become inbred Morlocks and Lizard Men will take over the Earth (probably).

If that's the criteria then why not just clone Bussell and be done with it? 
Bussell making love to himself is nothing new.
Repopulating the earth would at least give him that valid excuse he's always been looking for.
