So how do I learn to write? Page 6

I think it's a bit mean, frankly, that not one person has mentioned Michael's college.

I know! And with all the succesful alumni!

Hi Sootyj Wave .

Plenty of useful advice already offered to you in this thread, but I just wondered what your motive was? Is this for personal development or do you feel that your written skills may be holding you back in the world of comedy?

If it's for personal development then fine go ahead, but if not then have you not considered that it might be better to work harder on your strengths rather than weaknessess.

Find yourself a writing partner where together you can produce good quality well written work. I am sure that there are many writers out there that can put the words down on paper but don't have the mind to generate half of the ideas that you seem to be able to, myself included >_<

P.S. By the way, just so you know, I would be more than happy for your name to go first on the rolling credits on any of our future masterpieces, have a think Whistling nnocently

A large part of your problem, Sooty, is that your brain seems to be ahead of your writing. I think you have that many ideas, that you race to get them down without ever thinking them through properly. You need to slow yourself down and just pick a single project to really work on, rather than bouncing off at a thousand and one tangents.

That is true, I am slowly forcing myself to wind down and process my work better, hope it shows.

I've just noticed his hair. Is that a wig? I've never seen a teenager with hair like that in my life.

The Paul Mahew-Archer? :|

Tim's neighbour.

They tasked him with scouring the land far and wide for a new Susan.

:)

Paul's son works for the Beeb. Met him a couple of times - he's a jolly good egg.
