How much bubblegum have you got?

Damnation that was a good film.

You? You look like your face fell in the cheese dip back in 1957.

That's rasslin' talk, son!

Wait, let me just check.

Oh my, I'm all out!

-- and don't get me started on 'They Live' - killer! With Meg Foster, the original Cagney of 'Cagney & Lacey'.

Other good alien invasion movies include The Faculty and David Twohy's underated The Arrival, starring Charlue Sheen.

I heard they were going to do an alien invasion movie, set in Calais and Lunar House, Croydon - subsidised by the BNP.

If you want a rollicking good alien invasion story, read 'The Puppet Masters' by Robert Heinlein. It's the book that Bodysnatchers ripped off.

Read? Pshaw!

Talking of alien invasion remakes, they're supposed to be doing one of John Carpenter's They Live.

Love that film. Especially the bit at the end, where the lady is riding a-top a bloke, only now she can see he's an alien. (In a jive talking way) "What's wrong, baby?" Cut to credits!

That ain't a fight scene. THIS is a fight scene!

Bollocks that didn't work. Try this, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K06wDn3XsZE

That didn't seem to work either. What is it?

This is one of my favourites. From the film Braindead.

Very good call on the movie suggestion front Chips, I'd like to add 'The Hidden' to your list of underrated alien invasion movies.

I must have watched a different trailer to everyone else, I sense no Nazi vibe whatsover. This seemed more an allegory for the Bush administration, with an emphasis on government conspiracies, religious ferver and political spin. I'm sure it will also have the Invasion of Iraq and War on Terror overtones with people being branded as terrorists and taken away for interrogation.

The original V was brilliant though, my two favourite stand out moments -

1. The birthing sequence with the human baby with the forked tongue and then the lizard baby popping out to say hello.

2. The introduction of Michael Ironside - him and his fat beardy mate who used to play a Hells Angel in every 80's cheesefest - going on a rampage and kickin' lizard butt.

Wasn't Robert Englund in V before the Nightmare films?

And what constitutes a "mini-series"?

Is it what we would call a serial?

And by the way I did enjoy the series the first time.
