Yes, I used to watch this too, though I remember we enjoyed it whilst making fun of it. It kind of started a lot more seriously and then got progressively sillier and soapier.

What I liked was watching it and thinking, "Oh look, there's Robert Englund. Makes a nice change to see him playing a normal person instead of Freddy Krueg...aaargh! He's ripped his face off and he's an evil lizard alien!"

He was a nice lizard though, wasn't he? Didn't he have a mixed-species baby with a human girl?

No that was the girl who was raped by the visitor youth leader.

I hope it doesn't turn into an intermidable conspiracy thriller.

:D
Great news! Loved the original and this looks good too. I love Earth-bound Sci-Fi; like Invasion Of the Body Snatchers (and the two re-makes!). I never really got into Enterprise/Galactica/Star Wars, etc, etc.

Are we talking 'V' the mini-series - or Heat Magazine?

I loved Body Snatchers, the creepy Abel Ferrara one set on a military base. Have yet to see Invasion yet, though. Wouldn't mind, despite the lousy reviews.

We used to record this at night then bunk off school to watch it. :D :S Can't wait to see the pilot.

That, in my view, was the best of the lot! Abel Ferrara - great director.

Ignore the Sc-Fi snobs (SFS!).

Did the hero really just say "I'm not that guy anymore!"

Think I'll hold out for District 9...

That one was both good and saucy, like Ragu.

But 50s and Leonard Nimoy may well be better.

Recent one where we won? Shit to the point of joining Al Quaeda.

Hot damn that looks good!

I hope they remake Alien Nation as well

Now that's got me wired.

Talking of alien invasion remakes, they're supposed to be doing one of John Carpenter's They Live. Which was a great film, despite having a wrestler in the lead role.

That looks good too! Whereas there's the Nazi parallel in 'V' - Judging by the trailer; District 9 may have a bit of 'Area 51' and a slice of Guantanamo Bay for good measure!

To be fair, I did come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass.

You? You look like your face fell in the cheese dip back in 1957.
