15 Storeys High - opinions Page 3

Check out the episode with the swan. That's one of my all time favourites from any sitcom. Top banana as they say in swan land (or is that Swansea. Lost now.)

That was a great episode. That line from Vince after the Policeman said "they belong to the Queen!", he says "Oh! Was it one of hers?!"

And the elaborate story about it breaking his girlfriends arm.

My favourite scene is early in the first series when Vince eats stale crisps from the corner shop. He's hurt his foot so make Errol go down to the shop to complain. He has an idea to use the dictaphone to make his point.

Vince says "and get REALLY angry", so Errol replies "I don't think I can get as angry as you, Vince. Not about crisps." Vince snaps back "It's not about crisps!" and Errol gently, but sincerely replies "...it is..."

Classic 15 Storeys moment.

I loved every minute of this series :D

Went to see classy low budget Sci Fi film Moon the other day and there are two vague figures on a monitor and I noticed one of them is Vince's flatmate Errol (Benny Wong). Just thought I would share that mind numbing piece of trivia with 15 Storeys High fans.

Benny's been in loads of films. Notably, Danny Boyle's 'Sunshine'.

He had a decent dramatic role in the fantastic State Of Play (TV, not film) too.

But he's never been as good as when he was tearing wallpaper off Sean Lock's bathroom walls.

"Is there such a thing as skimmed milk?"

Mark Lamar co-wrote the majority of episodes along with Martin Trenaman. He also script-edited both series under his real name, Mark Jones.

And I thought he was just a useless smug c**t. You live and learn.

Series 1's 'The Model' is rather appositely a model of how to write a great narrative comedy episode.

Agreed. This programme was almost criminally mistreated in the scheduling by the Beeb as well.

Almost?!?! Jeez -- what would they have to do..?

Dan

I used the word "almost" because I have exhausted the legal avenues against the BBC on this one without success.

Oh. Fair do's, then.

I only just got round to watching this recently. Well, most of the first series so far, anyway.

It's pretty good but I think I prefer the radio series which has quite a different feel.

Isn't there already a thread on this? I'm sure I remember saying how much I love this show.

Well this thread started in Nov 2007, DD...
