And to sooty for the Uncharismatic James Bond mention. I recall a sketch about new Bond authors he wrote but can't, for the life of me, find it in a search. Main problem being, he's written about 75 million James Bond sketches in 'Critique'!

As much as I have liked your writing, Leevil (I too remember enjoying an extract from one of your sitcoms - it had a bit about folding furniture that had me howling) the last couple of sketches of yours I've read have been exactly what you suggest - a waste of time. Not that they didn't start with promise, but in the end they turned out to be jokes at the readers' expense, ie with no ending or 'it was all a dream' conclusions. Personally I don't enjoy getting to the end of a sketch only to discover it was a prank - I'm a busy, sexy man after all. Perhaps if you could offer some sort of "This is a waste of everyone's time, don't bother reading it" forewarning to those sketches, you'd get more readers. Certainly I'd be more inclined to read them.

You've hit the nail on the head.
I've been doing a lot of reflecting recently, mainly because of my new job at the house of mirrors. But also after being contacted by a producer and being ill-prepared to send any examples of my work, it made me realise I need to put up or shut up. I'm done with random midnight sketches, I have to promise myself this. It's doing no good for my writers rep, which I'd like to be known as a producer of quality sketches and material. I annoy myself, I hate to think how much I annoy my readers/audience.
