So the secret of a long relationship I guess is to dress your man in a blue satin knickerbocker suit. Have him sit on the wardrobe and throw bananas at you? Who'd have known?

The Wierdstone of Brisingamen. Et al

How about Red Moon Black Mountain by I think Joy Chant.

I read the Dark is Rising sequence as an adult and thought the film was the worst thing I have ever seen.

The Eathsea Trilogy

Yeah I read Earthsea as a kid, although there was something disturbing about it that I didn't warm to.

It's no Harry Potter.

:D

Earthsea yes, though quite dark for kids; The Dark is Rising, not so much.

I have never read any Joy Chant, but When Voiha Wakes has been sat unread on my bookshelf for close on two decades. Should I bother?

Brother in the Land by Robert Swindells. Quite scary.

flat stanley and tyke tyler. oh and the hardy boys

i read a lot of the bible when I was a kid and thought it was brilliant. I did have a tendancy for the illustrated bible but I also read the orginal version. Not all of it I must add and it wasn't like I was forced to but regardless of your reglion if you get on the right stories it is pretty gripping stuff.

And a shitload of Asrerix. F**k Tintin. You heard me.

Are Milly Molly Mandy and Naughty Amelia Jane and Mr Tweddle Enid Blyton books or characters?

Yes, but it's Mr Twiddle, not Mr Tweddle.
