I thought it was the worst movie so far.
They left out too much & it didn't make a lot of sense in the end.
I quite enjoyed it - although I agree the ending was a bit odd.
Other films I've seen recently include Public Enemies - I don't remember much but I can confirm Johnny takes his top off half way through.
The Proposal - if you enjoy RomComs then you should see this one - of course we know how it will end but it's good fun along the way.
I've just watched The Taking of Pelham 123. I was fairly sure I'd enjoy it from the opening track "99 Problems" and the cast. You have to suspend disbelief regarding the plot but it's a good little thriller with some witty one liners which I won't spoil for you.
My only complaint is that I keep ending up in Vue cinemas and watching their annoying trailer about the adult only screenings. There's the monotonous guy who says "It's good there's a choice. There didn't used to be a choice. And now there's a choice."
The second guy looks like he's stoned and the attractive young woman is overly excited about the whole thing.
I'm sure they're lovely people but now that cinemas have 'night cam' the answer is ejectaseats/ electric shocks for the irritating yakky people.
I'm now looking forward to Inglorious Bastards and The Invention of Lying.
I loved Public Enemies. Very good attention to the period details.

Agreed.
How's Christian Bale doing in the US now - since his outburst was posted on utube?

Well, most of us yokels over here are just now realizing that he's not American, so that seems to be the big talking point now.

How so?

OK, so he was American until he messed up and now he's British is he?
Sorry about the typing error Aaron, my second this week too. Regarding Harry Potter it just felt like it ended at a point where I'd have expected another half hour was needed to resolve everything properly. I enjoyed it more than the last one I saw and technically it's fantastic but if felt like a set up for the next one.
It was. Very faithful to the book in that respect.

Actually, over here he has a habit of doing his interviews in the accent of the film role. During stuff that was running for Public Enemies a bunch of interviews of him ran with his real accent. Being that I'm an amateur film historian and such, all of my friends called me because they were confused. I hold no grudge against Mr. Bale at all.
God, he's such a cock.

Well, yeah, there is that.

But great in Batman and American Psycho! I like the fact he seems a bit mental.
Finally got around to watching, erm, Watchmen. I loved it. Though the guy playing Rorschach is cleary a bit of a Bale fan, as he was doing his best immitation of Bales growly Batman voice!

You've not worked with him then?
On an unrelated note re your 'signature'. What is a carnie? I've not heard that word/ expression before.
Aaron, I've no idea how to quote two people unless I post a message and then start a second to quote another, is that correct? But in answer to your comment I'd not read the book so I couldn't compare. It didn't ruin it for me though. I'm just trusting that the final film will be more satisfying in that regard.

I nearly bought the Blu-ray today, but I think I'll wait for the Director's cut or a special edition containing both versions. On Rorschach, I thought Haley did a great job; he could hardly have done a Joe Pasquale voice.
He is also the new Freddy Krueger btw.
The only decent film I have seen at the Cinema this year is Moon, the rest is just a load of old recycled nonsense.
I hope Nicola Cage starring in a remake of Bad Lieutant is joke
