Our various local associations don't have such Third Reich tendencies.

It often comes as a bit of a shock to find out just how oppressive/restrictive it can be in the Land of the Free.

Next time I'm down, you, Nil and myself should meet up. None of are drinkers, so, milkshakes?

Nil doesn't drink? :O

If you subscribe to the idea of the "Land of the Free", yes!

It is a problem if you want to let them roam around the garden.

So you get one of the extension things.

Well he drinks enough to keep hydrated, and apart from his girly alco=pop drinks. He's one of us.

One of us. :|

I'll join you guys. I'll have the occasional beer or a glass of wine, but that's it. I've spent too much of my life around drunken assholes.

That would be most awesome, Andrea. :)

But I thought you liked the Third Reich? :S

The rules I mentioned are not universal, they're self-imposed in some communities in order to maintain property values. Nobody wants to live next door to some yahoo with 6 roosters crowing all day and a cow in the back yard stinking up the place. Plenty of people raise chickens and other animals, but not in a typical suburb. Anything goes if you live out in the middle of nowhere or on a few acres of land.

Great, so I have to figure out how to get over there (probably with kids in tow), learn to drive on the wrong side of the road, figure out where Bristol is, and learn your currency. Hmm. Gimme a few days. :P

Laughing out loud

All for one milkshake :D

Yep, as long as it's chocolate.

We don't do chocolate here. It's either tea or jellied eels.

Oh, well...I'll still make the trip. Haven't had a proper vacation in forever. I do like tea, though. :)

learn to drive on the wrong correct side of the road, and learn your currency.

You do realise we're on the decimal system now, right?

If Tim offers you soggy biscuit. DO NOT EAT!

Yes, of course. But your money looks kind of wacky to us. :)
