Surreal scene cut into sitcom

Does it work? The sitcom's set in a club and it's a brief cutaway to show there are things going on away from the main characters.

TWO MALE STUDENTS COLLAPSE ON A SOFA IN THE CHILLOUT ROOM, EACH HOLDING A BOTTLE OF BEER. STUDENT 2 LOOKS A BIT UNHAPPY. THE SCENE STAYS WITH THEM.

FIRST STUDENT: Phew! Boss night! What’s up with you dog? You look down or something.

SECOND STUDENT: (CONCERNED) I’ve just realised I’m psychic.

FIRST STUDENT: Sweeeet. Mental high five.

BOTH FREEZE (CONCENTRATING) FOR EXACTLY TWO SECONDS. THEN,

BOTH STUDENTS SIMULTANEOUSLY: (NODDING) Alright.

I could see this happen on Scrubs between Turk and The Todd.

As a cut away I think it would fit into any sitcom pub, club or party scenario.

Telekinetic or Telepathic maybe?

I thought it said psychotic!

Quite possibly. Don't know why, especially 'dog' as it sounds ridiculous, but they're the ones who look stupid saying it.

Thanks - yes it's the best way of saying it that I could come up with, so I wanted to see if people got it. But everyone thought it meant what I wanted it to mean, so that's good!

I might change 'dog' and 'sweet' to 'man' and 'awesome'.

I like "sweeeeet". but "Boss"? sorry I just didnt hear it before...
