The Beatles weren't quite rubbish. Page 2

Getting to 30000 posts is underrated. Discuss.

Sociologically speaking (the Stella is kicking in now), how many of us were around at the time to see the effect?

Depends how quickly zooo makes her next 8 posts.

Haha.

I'm going to bed to sleep on it, and think about how lame I am.

P.S. Chapman was definitely around in the hazy days of the Beatles. It's like Yesterday to him.

Chapman isn't a good name to bring up in relation to one of the Beatles, though.

If you're going to start going on about how f**king wonderful the 60's was then I'm getting me coat.

The c**ts running the country into the parlous state it's in now were all around during the 60's love-in. The 60's generation were ultimately a bunch of self-obsessed losers who changed very little for good. Some good music and some freely-available grass does not a philosophy or a meaningful political system make. Face it, the 60's lost. Bleating on about how great it was won't change that.

I nearly spit out me Farley's Rusk. Very well done Mr. Badge. Laughing out loud Laughing out loud

The 'Beatles weren't very good' argument is always championed by the younger generations who have no inkling whatsover of the kind of innovations they championed in popular music.

On a semi-related note, if I hear one more 17 year old slag off the original Star Wars trilogy, I'm gonna make them feel the Force.
