Are they all extremely good?
And have you had a lot of interest in them?
:)

I used to do impressions a lot when I was younger, all though that was only 3/4 years ago. I could do quite a few more but I lost the knack as I used to rehearse them a lot to finally tune them but over last few years I have been focusing on creating my own characters.

All of the Little Britain ones are very good as I did them for over year when I was part of a group who used to perform live Little Britain sketches for charity events. I spend hours upon hours a day rehearsing them so I'm good at them and The League of Gentlemen ones are good too especially Papa Lazarou.

Some of the others are shakier but most are good. Especially my Kenneth Williams.

In answer to you question has there been interest. Well yes and no. Yes because my skill as a impressionist has enhanced my character comedy for example the first two characters I created were based upon impressions. Although it's something I haven't tried to pursue although it has been bought up in meetings as something I could move into on day.

Do other people's characters count?

Doing impressions is a bit like Karaoke - everyone thinks they're brilliant when in fact, dey am teh suk.

Here is a list of impression that should be banned from now on -

Any Little Britain character
Arnold Schwarzeneggar
Sean Connery
Dot Cotton
Mavis Riley
Keanu Reeves
Clint Eastwood
John Wayne

And instant death sentences for anyone doing Borat / Ali G.

I forgot about Dot Cotton and Mavis Riley. I can do them too not that I ever feel the need to do them.

Which means you can do Russell Brand.

You do him first.

You feel a need to the others then?

I used to be able to sing like Kate Bush, but my voice isn't so high now. I can still do Claire Grogan singing though. And various Cbeebies characters that nobody knows.

I fully expect to hear these when you're crawling around drunk on the floor at the BCG meet up. ;)

You probably will, you probably will. :)

You feel a need to the others then?

Yes some. Kenneth Williams, Richard Wilson and Ronnie Corbett being favourites I often do to amuse friends and there families at peoples birthday.

Which ones do you do at funerals?

I tried and tried to get my sister into voice work, back in the '90s, but she just wasn't interested. I did get her to make a tape full of sketches, which were all written by me, but we didn't do anything with it. We were young back then, and didn't know anything about Agents etc. She did send a copy to Alistair McGowan, and he sent a letter back, telling her how good he thought it was.
