How often does he play guitar then?

Yesterday, Michelle, Blackbird, Mother Nature's Son. All staggering. :) There are probably others. Plus his McCartney 1 and 2 albums.

Oh, and the great solo duel at the end of Abbey Road, where the three of them play lead. Lennon's is the dirty rhythmic of the three, guttural, primal, pure Lennon.

1. In My Life
2. Helter Skelter
3. I'm Only Sleeping
4. Happiness is a Warm Gun
5. Tomorrow Never Knows

My absolute fave albums are Rubber Soul, Revolver and The White Album and of course Lennon >> Macca.

One after 909.
A Beatles song and also my current post count.

Dear Prudence.

This was the one song that almost made my list. What a lovely laid back guitar riff and a lesson in how to build a song in layers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z59HteiHkZ0

Ringo lucky? Jane P, that comment gave it away as tongue-in-cheek. :-) Imo.

Of all the Beatles' post group work Ringo has been the one to come up trumps. The others had moments of brilliance (Imagine / Band on the Run / All things must pass) but also produced utter shite. **Everyone in the room glances at Macca**. Ringo has produced the most consistent albums. 'Consistently crap' someone shouts but he's made some great MOR and AOR albums: Vertical Man; Choose Love; Ringorama; Ringo; Goodnight Vienna all get regular plays when I'm writing. And even Sentimental Journey gets dragged out for my road trip holidays. Driving an empty road singing along with Ringo is something I look forward to. And he's one guy who always makes the listener sound as good - if not better - than the artist. :P
