They call batter "scraps" where I come from and are quite popular. Too much grease for me though. But I do like batter, especially beer batter.

I'm not really a drinker, but don't mind it as the odd ingredient. Wine in pasta sauce, extra.
But beer batter is just beer or larger or stout added to the batter, simples!
