Similar to Lee I came up with something today which has got a mixed reception (It actually seems familar so apologise if I've accidently stolen it).
I was having a bad day at work yesterday so I phoned my mate and told him 'I wish I was somewhere else'. He replied 'You are.'
I like it. A nice quick exchange in a sitcom or comedy film.

It can already see a comical co-dependent relationship in a sitcom between two mates.
Nice insert into your stand-up act, I reckon, just before you tell a funny story involving 'your mate'.
