I think I'm in love with another forum member Page 5

Because the laws of the English language dictate so.

And more importantly, I do.

Seriously? I mean, I'm all for correct use of Inglis but would you really become a dictator over comma spacing?

*waits for Aaron to start a bluddy coup in far-flung Dictionaria

Actually I have a pet hate over double spaces after full stops - what's your take Aaron?

I'm not certain actually. 'Forums' sounds better.

Although it was the wrong term anyway. Should have been boards.

Easy-out.

I think both are accepted nowadays.

The question should be "Forum, or againstum?"

:D

Yes, seriously. And I hate double spacings too.

Is this seriously news to some of you? :)

This board likes people to make an effort with spelling and grammar. It's been that way since the start.

in far-flung Dictionaria

I should rather like to go there.

Good man! :)

I hate getting copy submissions for our magazine that way as it means I have to take them all out. To hell with convention!

Ha! You seriously want to know? It's called HotLINX

It's membership magazine for ISPs and network operators. Quarterly circulation of 1250 with downloads of 1000. I design, write, sub-edit and distribute the thing to 45 countries worldwide. 16 packed pages of routers and network peering action.

Link available on request. ;)

I believe most members do make an effort.

There are plainly varying degrees of ability across the membership, so not all 'errors' should be attributed to carelessness.

*alights soapbox*

That said, I consider Aaron's observations to be constructive and helpful to the individual they're aimed at - even if they're tersely delivered.
