Don Rushmore Leaves The BCG

This is just a little, informal apology to anyone that was offended by comments that I made in another thread.

I haven't hacked into any Facebook account. It was a stupid, immature comment to make - and I shouldn't have made it. I used to work as a website 'closer', and it would seem that 'old habits really do die hard'. Incidentally, that comment was probably the only time that I have ever been untruthful on this site.

So sincerest apologies for that post.

I am still a little bitter about my daughter's treatment on The BCG. And, although she longs to return, she feels slightly embarrassed and degraded at what Aaron has asked her to do in order to regain her membership.

Also, now that I have this opportunity, I would like to apologize for any offensive comments that I have made since joining this site in December.

I'm honest and open with people; simple as that.

Most of the writers on here - as far as great jokes are concerned - couldn't hit a barn door with a banjo.

I won't name names; I'm sure deep down these people know who they are.

I'm also confident that many of these people are funny looking, and don't have girlfriends. But that is beside the point.

So, I guess, in short, what I'm really trying to say is that - I have decided to step down as The BCG's unofficial Keeper of the Peace. And will be retiring from this site in the very near future.

For the one or two of you that are disappointed at the news of my imminent departure, fear not.

My younger brother - Rusty Rushmore - will hopefully be joining The BCG some time next week. And he is very much looking forward to meeting you all.

That's about it from me, I think.

So I'd just like to wish all of you the very best of luck in whatever you decide to do in the future. I genuinely hope all of you are successful.

Kindest regards,

Don Rushmore MBE

Attention seeking whore! Pleased

You've never said a nasty word to me, and I appreciate that. But I don't understand your attitude to other users. Surely you would get more enjoyment out of this by playing it cool and talking to the ones you like and ignoring others.

It can be fun to argue on the 'net sometimes. But this is the last place I think that deserves it. Especially the hard work that goes into this site, and the friendliness of the users, mods and owners. Especially /mark, he desreves lots of kudos, and one of the best ways we can show support is using the forum, as he intended. Aaron too, all that I just said. ;)

Whatever you do Don - Don't eat the yellow snow.

I'd like details forwarded to me as soon as possible please Aaron and I promise I won't tell Zooo. Goodbye Don. You've been...different. And often quite rude. And annoying. Are you my ex-wife?

Edit: I like the smiley posted next to the thread :) Yep, that one.

Greeeat.

Man stops posting on comedy forum! Stop! World stock prices plummet! Stop! Taliban call cease fire to absorb the important news! Stop! Princess Diana's ghost rises from grave because of the injustice! Stop! Anonymous man who criticised other people's sketches flounces off like a big, blubbery, overdramatic teenage girl! Sop!

You know what I like about this thread? The fact you apologised to everyone and then insulted everyone again in one swoop! That takes skill. I only know two people who can do that and one of them is my Mother.

I was raised to believe in the virtues of being nice and that if you cannot say anything nice, say nothing at all. Bearing this in mind....

....BYE! Wave

Well, he was always nice to me . . . Errr

Why have the words Mother F**ker appeared in blood on your forehead Rubes?

It's ketchup, I swear.

Ahhh... takes me back to when I left the BCG. (The first time, not the second.)

Personally I don't like to see anyone leave who made me laugh. (But I've never been on the receiving end of the nasty, of course.) :(

:D

A week or so ago I remember reading a thread where Don was a bit of a cock to someone who asked a question about a problem he'd been having. Not sad to see him leave.

But isn't he a really famous and succesful comedy writer? At least that's what he told us.

For somebody who apparently writes comedy he didn't really seem to understand humour.

I think his pictures were/are good. If he did them I'm impressed.

I thought he was a storyboard artist? That's what it says in that there profile of his.
