Top Ten American Sitcoms Ever Page 6

Quote: Matthew Stott @ April 6 2009, 10:37 AM BST

Good top three, though for me at the moment I would replace Curb with 30 Rock.

Fair enough, I've heard it's very good but haven't checked that show out yet.

In terms of amimated shows Futurama is the king and along ith Monkey Dust the only 2 I really like.

Stuff like Family Guy and American Dad- utter garbage.

I think I've watched the all-time worst sitcom this morning. It is American. Will and Grace. I've never seen it before, so this morning I watched one episode and it was totally dire.

Well, not totally dire, Jack.

List of awards won by Will & Grace:-

Will & Grace had been nominated for 83 and won 16 Emmys. From 2001-2005, Will & Grace was the highest-rated sitcom among adults 18-49.

Both Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally hold the record of winning the most Screen Actors Guild Awards for the categories Best Performance by an Actor in a Comedy Series and Best Performance by an Actress in a Comedy Series, respectively, for their roles in Will & Grace.

6) The Adventures of Pete & Pete

I didn't include animated shows (though The Simpsons and King of the Hill would make my top 10 US comedy shows) or Flight of the Conchords because I consider it a Kiwi sitcom.

It's a few more than ten, but who cares? Can't believe nobody mentioned "Married...with Children"????

Adventures of Pete and Pete

very good choice, fascinating show, children still like it and I still love it so it has something of universal appeal there.

Yes. And if you haven't watched 30 Rock yet you may need to evaluate your list, Andrea.
