Posting Really Bad Shows

Just wondering if anyone ever set up a thread here where people would post samples of bad sitcoms to spot flaws and such in the technique used by the makers.

'Posting Really Bad Shows' struck me as very 'News At Ten' and I've never really got their humour. I think you need to post a lot more than this for people to critique it, as it doesn't quite work as a single sentence. You may need a few characters and saucy jokes to help you along the way. If you're trying to make your sentence amusing, perhaps you could introduce something to kick-start your piece such as; 'The Day Bugledick Bit Titfinger's Arse in Ye Olde Pig And Bucket'. To delve deeply into 'Posting Really Bad Shows' can be exciting adventure. On the other hand, it could be submitted to any producer operating a small fruit stand with a rattlesnake inside his shorts on a rainy day in Penge.

I think you've got a point there.

Generally speaking, comedy should be played straight and left to the situation and repartee to bring out the comedy instead of hitting us over the head with it. The actor playing Kevin Stokes obviously thinks, 'Ooh, I'm in a sitcom - time to put on my funny face - tee-hee!" The direction is bad; the characters, even though in a pub, seem to wait for each other to finish a line. Unnatural. Not in the least funny IMO.
