Some of us, of course, are c**ts who care. (Don't want to tar the whole of my profession with the same brush!)

Oh I see lol. Doctors you mean. I thought you meant humanity in general!
Quote: Marc P @ July 14 2009, 1:29 PM BSTIt's also probably the best opportunity for a new writer to make that leap from amateur to professional on TV at the moment. So from a writer's persective worth having a look at some.
Haven't we looked at it enough this thread? Can we please move on?
(Also, I always thought the Christopher Timothy character was an amalgam of James Herriot and Tim Walker? )
Don't get me started on humanity, Marc...

Especially the way he'd take patients' temperatures.

No. You're not the boss of us!

Soon, Stott, soon...
I wrote a sketch once that had the three wise men in a stable looking at a vet in a brown coat with his hand stuck up a cow's backside saying 'I think you want next door mate.'

Finally.
Well a curate's egg is only 'good' in parts whereas Doctors can be excellent!

Was that actually filmed?
I know a proffessor of linguistics. When we were out his house once he had a job starting a bonfire in his garden. My OH got it started for him and showed him all his fire making and lighting techniques. He was chuffed that he had the real man skills and could teach his fire knowledge to a professor.

No.
I think I'll sell it to Lee as a Christmas card.
Quote: Marc P @ July 14 2009, 1:52 PM BSTNo.
Good!
It's bad enough that a cow would have to appear under hot studio lights, let alone have an actor with no vetinary training putting his arm up his bum! Shame on you Marc for ever trying to engineer such a situation!
I was milking the joke.

There's been enough cow/dairy puns around here recently, let's not go down that route again.

Agreed. I'm getting pretty creamed off with them.
