You're in for a treat when you do find it, it's five episodes of absolute brilliance. Basically forget what you thought about Torchwood before, because this is in a different league.

Yup it's alright. Don't expect Battlestar but it's alright.
I just watched the first episode with my wife and even she liked what she saw so far. Wasn't anything totally riveting but I can say its probably still the best Torchwood episode I've seen to date based on the fact that I am actually curious as to what happens next.

Just watched the last episode, what a great series. Peter Capaldi was especially brilliant, bringing real emotion to the role. So is this the end of Torchwood?

No.
Here's a bit from one of the writers, who has been abused to hell by a small minority of very odd people. It's quite amazing the level of reaction the episodes have provoked in some. Basically there are a lot of mentals out there!

It was good TV, albeit the Sunday Times slated it.

I actually skipped your post until now thinking that it was a real spoiler.
I finished watching them all and thought it was a great mini-series. Top notch I was at the edge of my seat the entire time.
Although I want to ask if anyone has heard any rumors for the future of the show? Because to me that last 10 minutes of the final episode looked like a 'farewell and thanks for watching' kind of show.

There are some really, really sad nut-cases out there. As if they actually care what happens. I enjoyed it andthat's as far as it goes. Sending nasty messages to people ain't gonna bring a (IMO) wooden acted character back.
It's almost as if people want to sit around that table at the start and tell them what to write... and I bet they'd still sit there when it came on and say 'that's crap', 'shouldn't have done that'. 
Nah the show had terrible problems with a duff supporting cast so they needed to kill them off. Even Gwen looks like she's going to stay home and bake cakes like a proper girlie.
No doubt Jack will meet up with the Dr and they'll reboot the series from that.
Ianto most of the time was the big girls blouse who made the coffee.
N.B. did you watch 4-5 hours of TV in one sitting? Hardcore!
And they're remaking V!
I hope they do. Captain Jack was the only good bit of series 1 & 2 for me. Series 3 was much better. Hope they do another mini series.
