I tore my Macbook apart, replaced the DVD drive and reassembled it. I'll be damned if it ain't working.
I curse the Chinese guy who decided that fifty 2mm screws would be a good method of holding everything together.

I just snapped a Macbook webcam photo of the sun setting over my tomato plants. It's 95 degrees but seemed cool enough to sit out on the deck and enjoy a Guinness.
