By today's standards that just about makes you a celebrity!

Plenty of good, non-formally trained actors around though. :)

I ended up in the same class as Winslett's sister though, at grammar school. for five years.

That'll qualify you for a shot on Celebrity Big Brother, surely?

So were the Winsletts as poor and ordinary as Kate tried to make out recently?

No! Very well spoken. Had a small house in a rough part of town, but a whole family of luvvies. Her sister at my school was actually very sweet and I apologise if I made her smoke or drink at any point.

:O You weren't a bad influence at school, Dolly?

Mmmm, might have been. On the school trip to Wales I had the most ingenius Colditz style methods of smuggling booze and fags. Though I was f**king cold having filled my two hot water bottles with wine. But I did have a flask filled with bacardi and coke on those long treks. :)

I have a crush on K. Winslet. Sometimes anyway, especially in Eternal Sunshine'.

Laughing out loud

Oh dear oh dear.

I was very much the victim of other's brilliant schemes. Returning back from our year's 2 week French Exchange trip (when I was 13), most of the rest of the kids seemed to have acquired flick knives. I had innocently bought a Will-E-Coyote soft toy. A small incision was made and about 12 knives were secreted within him. Being a timid lad, I was shitting myself about customs searches all the way back on the ferry. Especially when an announcement came over the tannoy asking for a teacher from our school to go to our coach. I assumed that it had been searched and that I was going to have to take the rap for being a knife-obsessed child, who should immediately be sent to borstal.

BTW, how old were you on this school trip? Errr

14. I had my Sex Pistols tape conviscated too. :)

Know what you mean. And also one of my fave films, notwithstanding.

Her sister looked very much like her, but thinner.

I'm trying to find the big school pic where I'm sat next to her. I look like the pupil most likely to kill classmates.
