Torchwood... Page 34

I'd like to see the same principles applied to Who. You can see how focusing on one story allowed them to concentrate the budget and make everything look cool. As oposed to lots of crappy looking one offs.

N.B. the 456 were an ace example of how you can do good monster effects on a budget.

Yes, they do often seem to concentrate on the wrong things in some Who stories.

I may be incredibly geeky here, but wasn't there a torchwood in Glasgow 'A strange little man' and 'we'll find torchwood 4 one day'.

That's a jolly good point!!!!!!!!

Yes you are.

Yo I'm so right I should of put money on the bookies about it.

Would have been shit I was being facetious.

I know Sooty.

Obviously Jack invented them to fiddle expenses.

Capaldi you twat.

Although that sequence was awwwwwwesome.

F**king brilliant series.
But then I always liked it unlike you bandwagon jumpers!
(Ha, only kidding, I know it's been different this time. Much darker too. It was always good though. You bunch of snobs.)

Oh it had some apallingly duff and uneven episodes.

I did notice the similarity between the plot and a conspiracy theory I read. According to former MI6 agent James Casbolt Aliens were using childrens emotions as drugs Truthseeker

PS I'm not crazy
I just had a job where I had nothing to do, so I browsed the net quite a lot.

Jesus flipping bejimminey. Ace. But how does Torchwood return from thaaaaaatttt??

Maybe it was not so much a restart of the series as a Swan Song.

Well supposedly a fourth series is all planned, written, and ready to go, just waiting on the Beeb based on this week\'s ratings.

The internet has been awash with wildly different views on this. People seem to agree that it was great drama, but a lot of crazy people are saying they're 'betrayed' by the death of Ianto! That if it comes back they wouldn't watch it. There's been some truly weird takes on it all, and the fact there wasn't a happy ending, a nice sweet at the end to send us all off to bed happy. Odd. It was great drama, why wouldn't people want to see more of that if possible? Jack is the lead, as far as I'm concerned, as with Who, the various team members can and should change as time goes on.

You should see some of the abuse James Moran got on his blog and he didn't even write the episode.

The only person who should really be fed up is the bloody actor!

Has any one pointed out that it's also clearly having a go at Newlab and Tony Blair. Good for them.

Yeah, I had a good look through all that, some right stone bonkers. There's even some defending Moran, but then agreeing that they wouldn't bother watching any new Torchwood! Why?! Mentalists! Poor Moran!

Quite. I liked the character, but it is a TV show, characters often come and go. People should get a grip.

I reckon Ninja Bitch will head up the New Torchwood with Jack. It was a 5 episode into a newer darker less twee Torchwood.

A bit redundant joining the thread at this point, but that was really very good.

Gah! I'm having so much trouble downloading it or finding it online.
Space (the sci fi channel in Canada) says they will air the first episode on the 20th while BBC Canada has no plans. I really wonder why I pay for cable sometimes.
Worthless stations. Angry
