BBC Talent wage cut Page 8

I used to use Firefox, but it has not run properly since their last upgrade. It wiped all my bookmarks and disabled history and back/forward. I have had a couple of goes at fixing it, but no joy as yet. So I am on Safari.

And killing an elephant will make it all better? You sicken me.

Look, I tried followed the instructions on reloading, but PC World were all out of Rhino pizzle.

You Mac owners think you've got it bad? At least you can afford to go on safari when your browser packs up.

As a Windows slave, the best I can do is shoot pigeons and the occasional cat with an air rifle every time something goes wrong. (Having now exhausted the "game" population, will have to move on to targetting slow-moving pensioners.)

You're still storing bookmarks on your browser? What are you, Amish?

Laughing out loud

Check out www.delicious.com.

I actually dated an Amish girl once. Apparently they are cool with mobile phones because there is no wiring to connect them to the outside world. So I am guessing now they are all on Bluetooth and thus technologically light years ahead of me.

Really? So they're OK with wireless technology? That's a bit rich. (And a little bit self-deluding, don't you think?)

Yes, and apparently before mobiles they had a phone in a shed at the bottom of the garden. And they all have propane powered domestic appliances. There was a lot of stuff Witness left out.

They still do raise the odd barn, don't they? Or is it raising a mobile phone mast thesedays?

I\'ve never \'got\' del.icio.us. Have been storing some stuff in it recently for reference between friends, but I\'d never use it myself as a personal tool, I don\'t think. Not in its present form at least.

Our CBC is being slashed to ribbons. If you want to see how bad we have it here check out this link
According to the major broadcasters they can't even afford local news anymore and are begging the government for funding to do so.
Maybe if they spent more on Canadian programing and less on buying American shows they wouldn't have this problem.
I would have no problem with all Canadian networks sinking, it's not like they provide me with anything the US networks don't except Canadian commercials.
BAH! Sorry about the rant, it's a sore spot.

Do you have local news in Canada?

Much like our channels. Commercial stations have been peddlers of shit for decades, assuming they\'d always be receiving ridiculous sums of money from advertising. Last I heard about ITV, they were just about managing to charge 1988 prices for advert placement.
