I'm officially boycotting TOPMAN and clothes in general for them getting my hopes up like that.
OK, looks like I'm first. Thanks but no thanks says my email. Although I should be heartened that it made it through to a second read. Which I suppose I am. Thinking about it, I wasn't going to enter this at all as I was working on somethiong else and I'd never done a childrens thing before. It was only when I finished that and realized there was still 2 weeks to the deadline that I decided to have a go.

Obviously I was gutted once I read it, having been momentarily elated to have had a response assuming there wouldn't be one unless you were picked. But yeah, considering the amount of time I had to work on it I'm pretty pleased.
And I got a second read email too - sort of what I expected, and at least vaguely positive! Not ideal, but uplifting to a degree. (Time appears to be 3.35)
Now, let's find a production company I can write to...
Not a bean, Not a sausage. Only two missed calls from unknowns probably trying to sell me mobile phone contracts....Ohhhh well 
Nowt here either. They'll have all gone home for the weekend now, I should think, so the rest of the emails probably won't arrive until Monday.
Absolutely gutted.
I was very UNquietly confident about this too. I've officially had no success with any of my comedy in any shape or form. It's what is known in the business as a 'take the hint' moment.

This is my second 'nearly, not quite' email in a few months. But it's taken me years to get here.
If you enjoy it, keep doing it. You never know what might happen. The main fun of writing is doing it for yourself. The sheer terror of writing for broadcast takes the entertainment out of it.
