Set in an Estate Agency Office?

Hello all!

I'm trying to find the name of a British comedy that I only saw a brief portion of, some years ago (maybe 1994 - 98 time frame, but I could be off by a lot). It was set mostly in an Estate Agency office, and followed the people that worked there.

I specifically remember a scene where one of the staff was helping a new customer; an old lady. The lady was trying to tell the agent her name, and the agent, ignoring her, repeatedly told her who she must be based on looking up her address in their computer. Constantly getting it wrong, of course.

Anyone remember anything like that?

Then hotzappa11 right but the scene you describe also remind me of the “estate agent” episode of People like us.

It was shown over here a year or so back and I have it on disc but it’s not a very good show so I'm not going to be watching it to see if it has that scene in it or not.

Yeah I thought it was alright, bit stupid, they had a psycho boss or something?

It's actually on Virgin On-Demand. It was OK but not great.

It was a woman.

I didn't see enough of the show to be sure if it the one you mention here or not, but thanks for the clue!

Sounds like it quite possibly isn't the same show then.

The scene you describe sound like it could be an episode of “people like us” called the estate agent (SE01-EP02) although the woman wasn’t old, couldn’t find an image on the web but if you PM me your Email I can send you a screen shoot to see if it jogs your memory.

I remember the one from the early 00's which was on Channel 4. I seem to think it was on quite late as I remember watching it round my friends house after leaving the pub! If anyone knows where to get a copy, then please let me know as I'd love to see it again.

A copy of what? About half a dozen shows have been discussed here!
