Michael Parkinson

Anyone think he was a bit overrated as an interviewer? He was much better in his later years, but his interview with Meg Ryan was very awkward, he seemed to instigate the awkwardness though and Meg seemed completely baffled by it, as was I. He obviously didn't like her, but since then he has said that it was her fault, yet I don't see it at all. She didn't do anything wrong in my book. It was all Parkinson.

Not a clue about that, but I've never thought that much of him.

Pompous Barnsley Wank-Sofa.

He's got a very high opinion of himself. Like a sort of extreme crinkly faced Seefacts.

Honestly! If Seefacts was here right now he'd put you in your place. Angry

"The only thing worse than being written about on the BCG comedy message boards, is not being written about on the BCG comedy message boards." Oscar Wilde.

I didn't like him. Prefer Jonathan Ross's Friday Night thing anyday (...can tell how much I watch that too!)

Is he not dead yet? *waits*

He now promotes insurance while slagging off Jade Goody in the papers.

Nope. But he was so boring I doubt anyone would notice. :|

Hello!

The thing with Parky was in his 70s heyday he was quite a tough interviewer - see his stuff with Ali - but by the end of his show, he was a sycophantic bore.

I'm funnier than Parky.

Are you funny to talk to? Or are you just funny on the page?

Yes, I'm f**king funny.*

*Is that the kind of thing you were after?

No. We'll forget about the entirely subjective issue of whether you're funny at all. I was just wondering if you are funny and amusing to talk to, or whether you're a right dull bastard but you can be funny on the page. For example, Charlie Kaufman is undoubtedly a great and funny writer, but I'm not sure I'd want to go out for a drink with him.
