Make a unicycle entertaining?
I thought a clown prostitute was a prostitute who exclusively took clown clients? He drives up slowly, winds down his window, the door fals off, she hops in, the wheels fall off, he honks his horn, she says that was quick, he hands over monopoly money, she gets out, he walks home in squeaky shoes and cries himself to sleep.
Next morning: Chantelle's brithday party (aged 6). Tough crowd. Not enough jelly. Mix-up with the balloons.
Just watching a very good clown prostitute bukake video - she gets bucket-loads of white paper all over her face.

Is this an excerpt from your diary?

Now that's how you juggle balls.

For the last time, I am not Chantelle. I only said that when you asked me what my name was.
Are clown prostitutes found in a red nose district?
Quote: Adametri @ July 7 2009, 10:04 PM BSTAs someone new to this site, I was just wondering; what are the different ways of making money out of comedy writing?
So, I guess this has answered your question.
Back on topic, does anyone know how many people in the country actually make a living from writing comedy? Any sort of comedy, but solely from writing - i.e. your performers don't count. It's got to be very few hasn't it?
I think that once you're on the "approved comedy writers" list, your agent can find you all sorts of little well-paid writing jobs, many of which will be uncredited. There's also money to be made from getting script editing work, plus teaching/tutorials etc. Some writers will have retainers paid by a production company or network so that they have first option on future work. Of course, the sooner you can get an exec. producer credit as well as writers credit on any network series (especially with potential format deals to be made overseas), you'll begin to see more money.
So the message to the OP is get very good and be patient, then.
Very patient.
One writer who did do very well is Kevin Lygo. He started out writing sketches for 'Alas Smith and Jones' etc. Then he gave up writing. Now he's Director of Programmes at C4 on over half a mil a year. (I think the salient point there is that he gave up writing, of course.)

Is he a cross between a lion and a pogo (stick)?
