I like that!

Tim has just killed his Blackberry, it having falling out of his pocket into the toilet. (Which he had recently cleaned and was full of bleach, for added good measure.) Unless this hair-dryer has magical properties I'm f**ked.
In My Opinion (as a long term electronics hobbyist and a computer engineer):
Don't just DRY it, the bleach will continue to eat the circuitry.
Take the battery out to prevent electrolysis and soak the phone for several hours in clean water, preferably distilled water, but failing that in water which you have boiled to get any 'hardness' salts out.
Then take it out and shake vigorously to shake any loose water out. Finally let it dry naturally standing on end so that water can drain off the keyboard circuits and printed circuit boards.
You can try washing the battery for a shorter period , but the chances are that the electrolytic action will kill it & you will probably need a new battery.
[added later]
By dry naturally I mean leave it for at least 24 hours.
I got a cerstificatey thing today because I was the best behaved on a course I was on . Actually everyone got one for just turning up . But still. A cerstificate

I think you need to move nearer to civilisation Gav. Come away from the man with the wool clippers. You know what he's like.

Cheers for the tip. Any Lazarus-like behaviour and I'll let you know.
Robyn just got an early birthday present, and it's so amazingly awesome.
What wazzit?!
Elliot borrowed a poetry book from me. Today, he gave me a parcel which was quite obviously just said book wrapped up to return to me. We spent all afternoon arguing as to if it was indeed the book, and then he bascially said "Well, if it's just that, then open it." I held out, but did open it. It was my book. The author has now, however, signed it.
Awesome! Elliot, you old romantic dog, you.
And I, of course, didn't cry or nuffink.
Aw. Bless.
Wants chip sarnies!
