What do you prefer on your bacon sandwich? Page 5

What does a typical bacon sandwich consist of?

Bacon, bread, brown sauce, lettuce. (odd types might add butter to that mix, but they're crazy, ignore them)

The bacon in America is different though, isn't it? In every film and TV show it seems to be weird, stiff stuff.

Or the club sandwich of course.

Brown sauce with a liberal application of white pepper.

Yes, American bacon can be scary, and is never cooked correctly. It's either burnt beyond recognition or practically raw. It took my most of my adulthood to learn how to cook it so that it's edible. Is brown sauce like gravy?

It's like a spicy ketchup.

I think Kate Bush's bacon sandwich maybe a little unappetising.

Now that is grim.

Toast/bread, brown sauce, bacon/sausages. You're sorted.

Wrong beyond belief, that's so wrong it's actually French.

Best is a baguette served by a poorly shaved bear in a van that looks like he bought it off the Manson family.

Should contain.

1 2 fried eggs hard whites semi runny yolks (e.g. moist enough to join the bread but not so as to run out)
2 3-4 rashers of ultra crisp bacon preferably friend twice, the first time at least a week earlier.
3 2 jumbo testicle and filler sausages. Split and fried so savagely they're actually nice and crunchy.
4 Thick slices off mushroom.
5 Everything to be fried in oil with more history than the Hapsburgs and cleaned less often.
6 To be served in armour plated baguette with soft buttered interior with brown sauce.

All else is effeminacy and illusion.

:O The mere thought is blasphemy! Kill her!

In answer to the original question, I've never had a bacon sandwich. But I imagine that HP would be my choice. It is the sauce of all right-thinking, God-fearing, non-French folk.

However, I have had egg, bacon and sausage muffins. Mmm.

I was going to have pasta for lunch, but after reading this thread I have no option other than to go for a fry up.
