Finally, I'm into Seinfeld Page 3

Perhaps my all time fave Sein episode:

I was the same way, I used to dislike Seinfeld when I was younger. It wasn't until I was older could I take some of the characters and appreciate their eccentricities as humourous.

The Puffy Shirt episode aways springs quickly to mind for me. Because I don't wanna be a pirate!

That scene of just Jerry and Kramer in the appartment is a truely legendary moment.

As for "The Seven". I love it earlier in the episode (couldn't find the clip) when they're at the restaurant and George suggests 'Soda' for a girl's name*, as the couple are looking confused, he says: "I solve problems, that's what I do". :D

*All the while scoffing a bowl of spagetti. :D

Watched this one last night, was a good one. The 4th season was great, with the whole NBC pilot arc.

Jerry(to George after George tells NBC bosses he doesn't want to comprise his artistic integrityh when it comes to new sitcom he and George are formulating):
'You're not artistic and you have no integrity' :D . I think the shole show is great particularly any Kramer/Newman scenes e.g playing Risk on the subway. Am I one of those rare people who like both seinfeld and friends?

Me2 I like the George/7 storyline and kramer and elaine fighting over the bike. Best bit IM0-when kramer is about to ride out of jerry's apartment on the bike only for elaine to slam the door

I like them both too but feel a bit (a lot) of overkill towards Friends.

My fave part would be the scene near the beginning of the episode when they're in the restaurant for dinner. This part is great:

George: "Carrie, you and Susan are cousins... So, your baby daughter is gonna be Susan's second cousin, right? So what does that make me?"

Carrie: "It doesn't make you anything."

George: "Well, so legally I could marry your daughter!"

:D

... also the end when Newman bought the bike off Kramer and Elaine chases Newman down the street, trying to stop him.:D

Bah!

I've stated my thoughts on this show before and won't go into it too much, but it's just much too cutesy, feminine, childish, predictible, the plots were lame and the jokes were beyond weak and dumb. Too safe and nice for my taste (I mean I do really like shows like Futurama, Cheers, OFAH (series 1-4) - shows which can be touching at times, but the writing for those shows is top notch and episodes very good, especailly the best ones). Friends just bores me to tears, the writing is weak and the characters are just unfunny.

It's just tepid, awful comedy. I thought so the odd occasion I watched it back in the day. I remember it being shite then and tried to watch an episode earlier this year when waiting for the missus to get ready for a night out. I never once raised anything approaching a smile. It's comedy for birds who get knocked around by their boyfriends.

I've only seen Seinfeld once over, with a few repeats thrown in. So my memory ain't so good. But I do love the episode where George goes to great effort to avoid the job centre (Social Security?) getting him a job.

Excellent! :D
