How many people?
London meeting place
The Holly Bush in Hampstead isn't mobbed of a Saurday afternoon with a few rooms, and a few seats outside you could sit at.
Quote: Griff @ July 6 2009, 12:18 PM BSTDear Cockney Wankers
Griff you might know this place but what about the KIngs Head if they haven't got any shows on that day or time?
I hear the O2 arena is now available.
Quote: Griff @ July 6 2009, 12:39 PM BSTThere's not much in the way of quiet corners at the Kings Head. There was actually a group rehearsing a script in the bar one day the other week, and it really takes over the whole room.
No I meant actually using the theatre bit, I guess you met the manager there the other week.
Right, I'll see you there then Griff.
<---- I'll be the person who looks like that.
I wish I lived in London and went to loads of pubs that I could recommend... Oh wait.
Actually, I don't know any centrally I'd really think suitable to be honest. Only South West London for me. Yeah, that's right, I'm part of the sw masseeeeeve!
Quote: Griff @ July 6 2009, 12:54 PM BSTMake sure you go every Saturday for the rest of your life, though, as we haven't decided what day we're meeting up yet.
Will do!
*packs extra sandwiches on top of the extra he already packed*
The Prophet near Moorgate has a fabulous downstairs room (except it's dark and smells of piss).
or
The Kings Head near London Bridge has an upstairs room that London Comedy writers use (hence my terming it the Anne Frank comedy club).
Otherwise almost every London Pub has a room for free usage so Google some.
It's mentioned in a couple of books apparently.
And these two are rehearsing Waiting for Godot.
The Holly Bush is a really quiet, olde worlde pub. I bet they'd love a load of luvies shouting out their scripts!

Man on right:" Hello young man, my name's Marc. Have you read Hard Evidence, yet?"
Looks like Stratton.
Quote: Griff @ July 6 2009, 2:26 PM BSTWe're writers Dolly. We'll be mumbling them at best.
Of course, because you can't act.
Quote: Aaron @ July 6 2009, 2:27 PM BSTLooks like Stratton.
Is that Stan Doubt? If so, I agree.
