What are you drinking? Page 63

Yeah, I'm in remission. I have a mountain of tests to go through and I still have a massive amount of reconstructive surgery ahead of me. I'm taking it all in stride. The most frustrating part is that I got the type of cancer that women in their 50s and 60s get. There is no family history and I'm in excellent health otherwise. So, as Tim stated, on a hot night 10 year old Bushmills tastes mighty fine.

Fingers crossed for you Andrea, and the best wishes I can send across the Atllantic.

Not at all. Cheers, mate. Life has got much better, much quicker than expected. Some of us just can't drink normally, that's that. Certainly don't begrudge it to those who can. I've done my drinking for a couple of lifetimes. :)

Glad you're finding life ok mate. I certainly get the impression that you're enjoying life sober far more than you expected to. Well done for having the willpower to start something and stick to it. You certainly get my respect, however depreciated that commodity has been during the credit crunch...:)

I shall now stop being a patronising dickhead. (that's how I read it, hope I'm wrong!)

Thanks Tim. It still feels like I'm living someone else's life. I had so many plans and hopes and everything just crashed around me. And I have one of those stereotypically stupid families that couldn't even be supportive when I went through my surgeries and chemo. But luckily I have friends, both online and in the flesh that have been there for me where my family couldn't be bothered and I'll always be thankful for that.

Yeah, all the best Andrea!

I like to think that my friends are the family I have chosen for myself. Of course, that could just mean I would be best suited to writing greeting cards....

Thanks Rob. Its noce to see a post from you where you aren't busting on somebody. I appreciate your well wishes and I look forward to disagreeing with you in the future. :P

Thanks Dolly. All the best to you.

I'm sure you must be thinking of someone else! Seriously, people, tell me I'm not as annoying on-line as I am in reality!

Pleeeeeasssseee...

I've never noticed you being annoying, Rob, and I should know.

Of course you don't.

True redemption only comes from Our Lord Jesus Christ, Robert. Which finally brings me to the real reason I joined this site...

You too? These other heretics won't be laughing when it turns out that God despises punctuation and detests grammar.

Which is why there is a book in the Bible called 'Psalms'. If Aaron and his ilk had their way it would be called 'Palms', of course. Angry

God knows better that a despot on a website about about comedy, I think we'll agree.

Sadly, Aaron wins by virtue of being real. :(

I'm an Aaronist. I've converted to Aaronism. (Which sounds all-too-appropriately similar to "onanism".) Angelic

Orgasm justifies everything.

Switching up between Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and Guinness. They were both on sale ($12.99/12 and $13.99/8) so I bought some of each.
