Sierra Nevada Pale Ale at the Houston airport.
Guinness in my "Grab a Heinie" Heineken mug, which is probably illegal. Oh well.

Guinness? Will you marry me?
I hate places that serve me a Guinness in a Budweiser glass. Worse yet, plastic.
I once had a Guinness in a Miller High Life glass where the Miller girls tits had rubbed off. It was one of those crummy townie bars with about 2 inches of slime mixed with peanut shells on the floor.
Have you Americans got round to having proper size beer glasses yet? Not this half-pint nonsense?

It all depends on the place. The more expensive the menu, the smaller the glass. In the really crummy bars around here you get a proper pint of beer. Of course its whatever they have on tap, which means its usually something really cheap, like Mystery Miller or 12 Horse. Blech!!!

Yes, probably best to avoid any beverage with the word "mystery" in the title. However I like the sound of '12 Horse' - possibly akin to 8 Ace over here. We also have your interesting Budweiser - or '3 Cats' Piss' as it is also known.
Our bars over here have this terrible habit of buying large quantities of whatever is the cheapest. Usually its Miller but the bartender can never seem to remember what type it is. Thus, Mystery Miller. 12 Horse is about the worst thing you can drink. It always has that old skunky smell, like it was made in someone's tub and was stirred with a plunger handle. Its surprisingly popular though.

Ah, we have that here: it's called urine.
And I'm drinking white wine and soda. This makes me either gay, a girl, or an orang-utan.

Or sensible?
I've had some Pinot Grigio, moving onto the Glenfiddich soon.

I've had quite a few pints of lager - which I drank in deference to the heat - but I really struggle drinking lager in anything resembling the quantities I can drink real beer in. I'm home, I've got two bottles of Orvieto and some San Pellegrino. So why not resign my masculinity?
Moving onto Jameson's shortly.
