Brilliant play. Very good film version too with 'The Burt' and Liz Taylor.
Read 'The Dresser' by Ronald Harwood. Or see the film with Albert Finney and Tom Courtenay. Superb.

He's my favourite. If you ever get the opportunity, go to one of his readings. I've seen quite a bit of stand-up and he was 10 times funnier just reading and standing at the podium. However, you might run into the problem of hearing his voice in your head whenever you read any of his stuff. Enjoy!!!
I've emailed his agency every now and then asking if he'll ever do a reading in London/anywhere in UK, all I get back is "No."

Even though I'm sure he lives in London part of the year, and certainly somewhere in France, he never does readings outside of the US.

I'm only reading it because Elliot studied, and loved, it. And 
! I've been thinking of Martha being Liz Taylor-esque, but I thought that was just because the whole thing reminded me of 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof', so that's awesome!

I'm reading Child 44 by Tim Rob Smith. It's billed as literary cold war thriller, by which I can only assume they mean 'overwritten rip-off of Martin Cruz Smith'.

Bad Science by (Dr) Ben Goldacre. Worth reading just for the chapter on Reptile Queen Gillian McKeith.
