Under
the
thumb.

And to an ex!

Oh dear me...

We're still good friends. Hell, we were only friends for the first 12 years or so. This is just part of the game.

The booty is the important thing now

;)

I don't think weather has ever been used in part with a booty call, has it?

If I could ship you the extra water in my yard I would. We're running into the dangerous zone for waterlogged crops. I'm in wine and apple country.

My garden is wasting away because of the heat and drought. Teary

Are you allowed to water at all? My POC sister outside Dallas is too lazy to do anything outside at all, so we never hear about the weather and on the news the weather bastards just say its hot again in Texas.

We can hand-water every day. But our lawns and sprinklers are down to one day per week. In a day or two it switches to one day every 2 weeks.

The heat just wilts everything no matter how much I water.

It would kill me to just stand back and watch my garden die. Actually I am doing that because I have standing water in my garden right now. I have a friend who just got her organic certification and she's terrified that she'll lose everything. The farmer's market movement is very big here now and all the small farmers are in a panic. But I'd take too much rain over your situation any day. Sorry for my whinging.

The tomatoes and peppers are still going strong. I'm most concerned about the lawn. Parts are starting to die and I'm not looking forward to spending $3000 on a new one if it croaks completely.

Pray for rain.

I will. Hopefully when you do get rain it'll be a nice steady rain that does good, instead of downpours that just run off. Oh jeez, forgot to mention that your court case ended up on my local news. I couldn't believe it.

Our water comes from an underground aquifer. It has to seep through hundreds of feet of limestone.

I haven't been able to find any mention of the court case in local news. Did they mention the sentence?

I was eating dinner when the news around the country segment came on.
All that was mentioned on our news was that a woman on meth had pleaded guilty to charges in connection with her granddaughter's drowning death. They mentioned the whole teaching the child to swim part, but I don't remember hearing about what the final sentence was. I'll let you know if I do.

Looks like she got 18 years and will have to serve at least half before becoming eligible for paroles. I wasn't expecting that much.

Yeah, I was expecting a smaller sentence, but given the circumstances I feel that's a good amount.

Rob is loving the weather. All grey and overcast. Hell, it even rained in the night. :)

Rob, I was already two steps ahead.

I knew Chip was at work.

Now knowing that his boss allows him to walk around taking to people with his fly undone - I knew there would only be a limited range of fruit based drinks available. It's that sort of workplace.

He did shock me with the ice cubes though

Brilliant powers of deduction. :D Sherlock Holmes must be shitting himself. If he was a real person that is...

Robyn is trying to sort out her bank account. Unimpressed

Who are you going with? Don't go with Barcleys (sp?), they are evil bastards with a bad rep for students. Natwest and HSBC are the good guys.
