Remove Scum Petition Page 2

bigfella - thanks for your response, I was really worried that I might have offended you in some way.

Personally, I don't think the Government wants to address some of these issues due to the legal minefield and costs involved, they'd rather just sweep it all under the carpet.

Unfortunately, here in London, there has been a number of high profile teenage murders and the parents of the victims have handed in petitions time and time again to the Labour Government.

Each time Labour has promised to introduce new laws and each time they fail to deliver on their promises. I wish the system didn't suck so bad.

Again, I wish you the best of luck.

No - no offence! :)

Well yes, if a the parents of a teenage stabbing victim can't get anything done, then I stand no chance. We are just thankful that, this isn't the way it ended up.

But doing something makes me feel a little better!

Revenge will make you feel a lot better. Enroll your daughter in a martial arts program. ;)

I thought you were for good old Blighty, Aaron and all that it stood for? Fair play, etc.

Returning power to the people and the law in favour of the innocent is quite 'fair play', I think.

Good attitude!

It is.

But...

I wish I had done something beforehand!

Made a differance then! Not locking the stable door after the horse has bolted. :(

We need
1. A strong deterrent

This is almost irelervent as most young people that commit a crime know they will never be caught let alone caught and be given a punishment.

Young people are also oftenbeyond thinking of the consequences of their actions and to many having criminal records etc, is a badge of honour.
