And just before Christmas too. He couldn't have said 2nd of January 2013? By then we'll all be too hungover to notice.

He predicts a war with Muslims - WWW3 - in which France goes down, Russia is trashed, Italy is wiped out with a Nuclear Bomb. And a third anti-Christ will take control... >_<
To be fair, if there is a war France is bound to go down
I've just had a look at this...its a bit mystic meg if you ask me
Quote: Griff @ June 29 2009, 11:06 PM BSTSo there's been two anti-Christs already?
Yes Gladys and Martha.
Quote: Griff @ June 29 2009, 11:16 PM BSTMore like a load of Eartha Kitt.
She predicts ripped curtains by morning...
I can't remember exactly, but didn't Nostradamus predict the rise of the BCG.
I can't remember the whole text (someone will probably be able to recall it better than I can)
"A Man of many discs who fears the sun and a man who wears the Mark of a name shall join together and enslave the world with smiley posts"
or something like that, I'm paraphrasing obviously.

Haven't you seen the Omen?
And then there's Damien in Only Fools and Horses.
Quote: john lucas 101 @ June 26 2009, 2:14 PM BSTSo, basically, he predicted the television show 'V'?
What a terrible prediction. And show.
His visions of the future world are bleak however, I believe a world war would do us a favour. A war would get rid of at least quarter of the world's population. It would solve unemployment anyway.

It's odd that people who think this a good idea never picture themselves among the 1.5 billion who'll kindly vacate Earth for the remaining 3/4ths.
As to Nostrodamus.
The sloping park, great calamity,
Through "the Lands of the West and Lombardy
The fire in the ship, plague and captivity;
Mercury in Sagitarius, Saturn fading.
Apparently that's a future San Francisco earthquake. If it mentioned quaking or shaking earth, I'd be almost half impressed. And this:
One year before the Italian conflict,
Germans, Gauls, Spaniards for the fort:
The republican schoolhouse will fall,
There, except for a few, they will be choked dead.
is explained as: "World War III arriving after the fall of the Republican Party in the United States." But it only talks about Europe and there's a bending of the word republican to make it apply to a relatively recent political party.
Although Eschatology (in its various forms) is one of my bigger fascinations, Nostrodamus doesn't cut it for me. He seems vague for the sake of vague. It's easy to postdate a vague statement to a past event but much harder to use one to predict a future event. In that respect, I guess Nostrodamus was not stupid.

Oi Curt leave it, that show was ace!
Can he not just have said 'Kennedy will get shot in Dallas', or 'and in 2012, you'll get smacked in the face buy a giant rock'? Even 'look out for that Austrian with the 'tache' would have helped. Provocative bastard.
He nearly got it right, he cited 'Hister' instead of 'Hitler'. In this respect, he's at least up there with Scottidog.
