And 'As Seen On TV.' If that was the name of the sketch show she did.
Well, I'm going to see Daniel Kitson on my birthday (Sept 24th) so I like the whole holistic synergy that would be created by you seeing him on your birthday!
Phil Nichol is good, but completely mental. He also appears to be doing two gigs that night, at 8 and 8:30???
The Sean Lock/Stephen K Amos/Rufus Hound trilogy looks good though...

Yes, it was. Very odd show. Extremely patchy.

It was very good in context of the time it was first broadcast.
Good compared to other sketch shows of the mid 1980s, or good in itself?

I remember really enjoying it at the time. It might seem dated or look a bit crap today to say, a man in his early 20s.
Dated, no. Crap... No, wouldn't go that far. Just patchier than many.
I can't think of many other sketch shows from that time...
Kick up the 80s and its like, Hale and Pace...?
Hale & Pace began in 1988. Three Of A Kind ran from 1981 to 1983. A Bit Of Fry & Laurie has a pilot in 1986 and then ran from 1989.
The Kenny Everett Television Show is probably closest, running from 1981 to 1988.
Unless you want to count Spitting Image.
Not really too familiar with 1980s sketch shows though, so perhaps I've made glaring omissions.
When did Alfresco run ?
That must have been early eighties.
Mmm, so I can't think of any great sketch shows on at that time.
Russ Abbot's Mad House?

1983 - 1984, so I suppose could count.

The Russ Abbot Show then from 1986 until 1991.
Did Phil Cool do sketches?

Only as Rolf Harris
Boom Boom
Can you tell what I did there yet ?
