I've read alot about your prison service and you do seem to turn somepeople around.
Banning fags and TV combined with compulsory education seems to work.

We have the name of the person and numerous witnesses.
Something similar happened to one of my daughters, except it was a boy who put her in hospital, kicked almost all of her teeth out and scarred her for life, didn't get prosecuted as he was already under psychiatric care.
Personally I react to violence on my family with extreme violence, problem is you have to wait long enough after the event to be a weak suspect, have a concrete alibi and stalk the person long enough to find out where you can get them on their own for long enough to do what needs to be done.

You don't even have to do this. If there are no witnesses, and it's just your word against their's, then the CPS often won't prosecute. Providing, that is, you don't go overboard and stamp on their head twenty-thousand times.
