On his blog today for 'This side of the truth'

"On a more positive note, we cast another big name in a cameo role.

I can't give away who that is but I have warned the hair and make-up department that he'll only need make-up."

Does anyone else think that could be Larry David?

He's probably said that to make stupid people like me think it's him and it turns out to be someone bald and rubbish

Bruce Forsyth. Sting. Ian Hislop. Bob Marley.

Jason Alexander?

Gervais is a huge Seinfeld fan.

Gail Porter.

LOL

Saucy.
So yes. His new film is looking great!
Is now called Cemetary Junction. They are a couple of weeks into the filming.

Tons of background information, on his regularly updated blog... http://www.rickygervais.com/thissideofthetruth.php

Cemetery Junction?? Ah that's the Reading influence (funnily enough it's a junction with a cemetery next to it in Reading) - he mentioned Cemetery Junction in his stand up once on The 11 O'Clock Show.

Ooo. Trains.

No trains at the real cemetery junction. Just (and I quote from his stand up years ago) a lot of 'poofs'. There is (was?) a gay pub there you see. As one of the aforementioned from that locale, I was interested to hear us mentioned on Channel 4 one night :)

Film looks good though - trains AND an MGA:)

I wasn't too pushed about the film's script, like a badly thought out Liar Liar.

...mind you, that cast is amazing.

We might be getting two films mixed up here.

A train, or a poof?

Poop poop!

I'm on about This Side of the Truth, know nothing about the new one asides from Merchants meant to be involved... which is always good.

Ah, ok. Well we're talking about Cemetary Junction too. This will be fun!
