Michael Jackson RIP Page 14

Calling me an overeacting psycho for being disgusted by this outpouring of faux emotion for a dead paedo is your prerogative.

No faux emotion from me though, it's just sort of sad/weird to see such a pop culture icon, who I grew up listening to, die. He may well have been a kiddy fiddler, but we don't know for sure as he was never actually convicted of anything. And like I said, even if he had been, it wouldn't make me think any less of his musical output.

I think that previous post about him being in hell is sick.. not funny at all..

Well said...

I couldn't agree more. The word is banded around too often, but that man was both a genius and a legend. An actual Legend.

It is very sad he has died, and I also think it is f**king vile that it is one big joke to some people.

Laughing at death...hilarious.

Speaking of My Prerogative, shouldn't Bobby Brown be kicking the bucket soon?

Indeed, but some might say "Don't Be Cruel Curt", but it's just My Prerogative.

I prefer legends that aren't created by marketing firms. The whole "King of Pop" thing that his camp insisted upon makes me a little nauseous.

Agreed.

True the 'King of Pop' label was manufactured, but that doesn't stop him being mega talented aside from that.

Well, I've said my piece, so I'll let it lie now. Time to wander over to Sickapedia to check out the jokes so I have some material in the pub this weekend.

He and his children sat near me at Billy Elliot - the lights were dimmed when they came in and they queued up at the interval with everyone else, chatting and laughing. When they left he waved and everyone stood up and clapped. Not sure what I think about it really but for some reason it was very emotional.

It's coz he's God. Or at least a minor deity.

Iiiinteresting. http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/standard/article-23712357-details/LAPD+search+for+doctor+after+Michael+Jackson%27s+death/article.do

At the pub and no Jacko on the stereo. Seems to be an Allman Brothers night. He's a proper dead rock star. Duane, that is.

Oh yes there has to be something more in this. A man who has been very fit throughout his life, who no doubt has access to great medical treatment and most likely would have been required to undergo a medical for the insurance for the O2 gigs ( Although there is some doubt about how much insurance there is) doesn't just drop dead from heart failure.

This is also interesting.
