Quote: Aaron @ June 25 2009, 11:44 AM BST'Allo 'Allo!'s cast was a superb ensemble.
Pity about the scripts
Quote: Matthew Stott @ June 25 2009, 1:21 PM BSTI'm honestly surprised so many people seem to want to disagree, is it just because it's Fawlty Towers and therefore you shouldn't pick at it??
No, it's because you're wrong.

Yes, it does feel a bit weird having faultless scripts alongside faultless casts and performances. But they did it!
Quote: roscoff @ June 25 2009, 1:31 PM BSTAs I would with Aaron's Allo' Allo' tripe

Note the word PITY.
Steptoe & Son, mind you it was pretty much a two hander.
Rising Damp also had two remarkable leads in Rigsby and Ruth, with sterling support from Alan and Philip.
Porridge probably takes the prize though, for having an extended cast, each one of whom was pitch perfect.
