I actually don't mind Tim. Seems genuinely talented (although I wish he'd get another avatar!). But if he can dish it out about the likes of Susan Nickson he should be able to take it.

However wrong that was, it wasn't personal abuse, i.e. not deliberately referring to anything factual about her life. It was stupid and horrible and disrepectful, but I didn't try and cover myself by putting a smiley face after it. The post was deleted. I apologised both directly and indirectly to Ms Nickson. I went into rehab for a month due to my alcholism and am in AA and not being a drunken prick as a result. I'm all for insightful, witty and sarcastic banter but, other than that example, I don't think you'll find that I have posted anything that could be construed as a truly personal dig at someone. Anything regarding "name-dropping" or "suicide attempts" or "estranged children" has been only ever mentioned by me (sparingly) in appropriate threads. I don't think any of those references characterise my outlook or my general involvement on this site.
I can take anything you care to throw at me. That's not really the point though (if you care to think about it), is it? All the best.
