Mighty Boosh's biggest fanbase is surely teenage girls, no? It is round these parts anyways, Noel Fielding and all.

I also hate that. Profuse apologies if it wasn't the insinuation, but I happen to be a teenage girl, but like The Mighty Boosh for more than getting in a state over Mr. Fielding.

So, it appears that teenagers like Gary Shandling, Stewart Lee, Simon Pegg, Have I Got News For You, Red Dwarf, Blackadder, Curb Your Enthusiasm...all pretty grown-up stuff really. What a surprise. This just reinforces my thoughts about comedy demographics...that they're largely bullshit. Audiences young and old are basically attracted to funny shows, regardless of the age of the cast / writers, or the hipness of the content. And another thing...

[rant deleted for fear of potentially pissing people off]

Damn, that was a good rant too.

Yes, I am a twenty nine year old male teenage girl. :|

If BBC Three were here, I'm sure they might respond to this by saying they're trying to reach out to young people who aren't interested in comedy. Who don't feel that connected at all to modern television. By which I mean a lot of the young people who've posted in this thread enjoy comedy and tend to seek it out. Perhaps BBC Three feel they're reaching out to the disenfranchised?

Does that mean we're their demographic? Shit.

I'd probably say students were the biggest fan base, followed by teenage girls. That's just going by audience when I saw them at the O2 last year.

Speak for yourself! I'm the white middle-class establishment! I help run this f**king country! Cool

I want to ensure that when I die the f**kers following me have nothing. Nothing at all. Losers.

You weren't so even-handed reviewing Lab Rats.

I'm turning over a new leaf.

Well that's alright, I've got f**k all anyway. Not that I'm following you or anything. I mean, I don't worship you, as such. Not...not that much, anyway.

Since I'm 19, I'd like to point out we teenagers currently love Stewart Lee, Daniel Kitson, Garry Shandling and Harry Hill, that's what we like.

I'm 20 and I concur with this statement.

You also like swearing, stabbing strangers and posting the footage on YouTube, and hanging around bus stops in large threatening groups. Not that I'm stereotypiong or anything.

Yes, we also enjoy that new car smell and long walks on the beach.

Providing you avoid the syringes and human excrement, long walks on the beach are really nice.

Are you kidding?! That's why we love going to the beach, all the free syringes and excrement you could possibly desire!
