He's not too bad now, started watching Bowfinger on video last night and thought it wasnt too bad-also the Father Of The Bride duo were ok. I must admit I havent seen any of his films since the turn of the century, but from what I have heard I don't think I have missed much. My alltime favourite Steve Martin is The Lonely Guy,closely followed by Planes,Trains And Automobiles

Bowfinger was a weird return to form for him and Murphy.

Why weird? It was a good film. Plus, it was probably a return to form because Martin actually wrote it, which he very rarely does. Though he did have a hand in those Pink Panther films,so it doesn't always work for him!

Weird not in the film which was ace.

But weird that they made this top notch funny film.

Then went back to moribund family comedies, pissing on Peter Seller's grave and not f**king transexual prostitutes.

If it hasn't been mentioned yet I've just remembered how much I like Gung Ho with Michael Keaton, Gedde Watanabe and George Wendt!

Young Frankenstein is ace though.

There is one brilliant joke in Young Einstein when some one gets out of university with his dead sheep.

About a year ago, somebody mentioned Better Off Dead, one of the best movies for quotes from the 80s. I could watch this over and over and did my first year of college. It's tough, but my favourite line has got to be: Two dollars!!!! (from the demented little paper boy)

Ski School - possibly the finest film ever made.

Two dollars! is of course used in Not Another Teen Movie, one of the best movies ever.
