My life feels in limbo at the moment... Page 4

Yeah, you're quite right, guns are great and we should all have one.

"They got guns. We got guns. All god's children got guns..."

And you quoted it out of context. How unusual. :D

For me, it actually is.

You said it.

I don't know many Americans who wouldn't jump at the chance to move to Britain.

I've lived in 8 states and have friends from all walks of life and I have to disagree with that statement. Americans tend to like the UK and the people who live there and they love to visit, but I don't think you'll find many who want to move there permanently. The only segment of society who come close to fitting your description are the whiny "I hate Americans, America and being American" crowd, but they'd rather move to New Zealand. Canada would be a close second.

Your future is like a completely blank note book, the type that has no lines to write on. By that I mean it is not written and there are no rules. Life has a habit of throwing stuff up when you least expect it and believe me, September will be here before you know it. Between now and then you essentially have that blank period that you can fill how you want. Just live your life and see where it takes you but if you want a little spice, do something that takes you out your comfort zone.

It's kind of ingrained in their culture and history. When will these people learn that they shouldn't have guns? How are they expected to follow the dictates of their leaders without question? If someone breaks into their home and kills their family, they should just sit quietly and not make a fuss.

As all British people know bears, cougars, mountain lions, rattlesnakes, etc. are like Disney characters and will not harm you ever.

They should appreciate the finer things in life, like being kicked to death by a gang of Chavs.

Americans, what a bunch of idiots. ;)

My eyes now hurt from doing this Rolling eyes so many times.

So unless you're a black, drug-dealing gang member with nothing better to do than sit around being a dick, you're in no more danger than anywhere else in the western world.

That describes gun crime (and most crime in general) in the United States. If you don't participate in the gang/drugs/crime culture you're very unlikely to be the victim of gun crime in the U.S.

How on Earth can you disagree with people I know? I'm not just talking about what I suspect, I'm talking about what they've actually talked to me about doing. I know one guy who is already here, one who would be here had she not been diagnosed with breast cancer and had to halt the plans for now, and a handful of others who have started the process of moving. I'm sure that a lot of people would stay in America, and others would move to other countries. But most of those I know reasonably well, wish to move to the UK.

Then don't do it, just accept my words as gospel and your life will be better. :)

It'll also be far more deluded.

But fun!

New Zealand is beautiful. Great wine industry and they get a great deal of location filming.

I don't hate the USA. I just want to move to England when I can :)

Very true. In my part of New York, for example, most crime is related to domestic violence. In our closest city, it is drug/gang, and only in certain areas. Otherwise it isn't bad.

Mine have actually rolled completely backwards and I'm staring directly at brain matter now. It's all blurry though from being so close up.

You've not read through the thread have you Tuumble? I can tell by the way you're still on topic.

It's entertaining though. Well, it's better than doing any work. Angelic
