My life feels in limbo at the moment... Page 2

Yes twice actually. Why?

Just sounds like something fuelled by stereotype and movies, not reality.

America definitely isn't better than Blighty. Canada always strikes me as quite nice, providing you don't interact with the locals.

Spoken like a true Englishman clinging on to some non-existent nostalgic past. For middle Englanders who enjoy drizzle, have low expectations, no ambition, hate excitement and deplore change, then America is not for them.

If I could get a green card, I'd be off tomorrow. Once you've lived in the States, Britain seems a very tiny place full of petty, jealous whingers who seem to revel in being shat on and ripped off.

As hard as it may be I do not think any relationship is worth dwelling over, especially if you're heading to California, they breed manufacture the sexiest women in the world there

I agree 100%. One of my closest friends in the world just came back from there after working in Los Angeles for 6 years, because she couldn't take it anymore. She worked in television and had a fantastic future in the works. But she chucked it all because she couldn't stand the people and the fact that the state's economy is in the toilet. Unemployment is very high there right now. Social services are in danger of being slashed and a lot of not-for-profit programs (volunteer work opportunities)are shutting down. I'd just be very careful.

Yes, people will fall all over you because of an accent, but when you have to keep repeating yourself and explaining what a chemist is over and over, you'll see that being the foreigner isn't all what its cracked up to be.

Good Luck.

Wave

I can't get one at the moment. :(

If you sort one out for me Chips, I'd be more then happy to wave bye-bye to this corrupt third world dictatorship.

>_<

(Still, Morrace has pissed off. That'll do me for this week :) )

I always felt more at home in England than I do here. I would like to move at some point. I miss it. Teary

We can negotiate a swapping system!

Yes, the BCG exchange program. Sounds great.

Nope, I'd be too busy eating 25 cent buffalo wings, sitting at a beach bar watching the tanned bikini lovelies walking by, off roading my gas guzzling truck, taking a dip in my pool and shooting my guns.

And I could do all these things without some sneering British person having a pop because I'm not as miserable or down trodden as they are.

I'd be happy and free.

You'd get shot in the first five minutes.

I've actually lived in America before and not once did anyone pull a gun on me. I only knew one person who was shot and that's because he went into Washington D.C. to buy drugs.

Living in London, I more worried about being stabbed. At least in the States I'd have a small chance of defending myself, but not here.
