That'll be the 'choke artist' who's clocked up 13 titles in his short career thus far, mmm?

Agassi was famously a choke artist early on. Far, far more than Murray. He'd get to big finals and piss it all away. And look what happened to him?

Exactly my thoughts. Some people have no clue, eh? :$

I liked Michael Chang.

Me too!
He's one of the four tennis players I can name.

When he wins Wimbles, then you can take the high ground, until then he is 'Chokey Chuckles McMurray'.

Same here. Jonathon Ross, Jimmy Carr, Alistair McGowan and Michael Chang.

Yeah absolutely, though ironically he only won Wimby cause Goran choked if we're being honest. Was unlucky to come up against a near unplayable Sampras in '99, though he'd have dusted anyone else. I liked Andre. Great allcourt player, great return of serve, just all round solid as hell player. Though oddly enough he was a jack of all trades and a master of none in particular. Had Monkey man not been around, though he would've won even more, grass wasn't his best surface but he still did very well in general on it.

Indeed. I guess Wimbledon is the only tennis a lot of people know. I follow the coverage all year round even if I don't actually see an awful lot, what with not having the Sky. Murray's progress since winning the boys title at the US Open has been incredible.

Thankfully Goran - very likeable - came back and won it eventually.

(Unfortunately he denied Pat Rafter, who was equally likeable!)

I always though Rafter will kick himself that he never won Wimbledon. he blew it in 2000 (admited he lost his nerve in the 2nd set tiebreak whislt a set up and was a little unlucky in that 2001 epic. Had he played in 2002 I'd have given him a great shout.

I posted about Rafter just as you were. :D

He hasn't won this one though has he?

My favourite Wimbledon moments in my lifetime (probably):

1. Edberg beating Becker in 1990. 5 setter.
2. Federer-Roddick. 2005. Godly tennis.
2. Kraijeck dusting Sampras in 1996.
3. Goran (eventually) winning in 2001. Especailly the semi final win against Henman. :)
4. Safin's run to the semi's last year.
5. Karlovic shocking Hewitt in 2003.

He can have as many mickey mouse titles as he wants but he hasn't got a Wimbledon crown and he is not liekly to get one.

Always nice to hear from another tennis aficianado. Tit.

By your criteria, that makes you and all the other writers on this board 'mickey mouse' writers, purely because you haven't written Fawlty Towers. You tit.

He's got to a GS final, though. He's improving all the time on the surface. His serving has been looking very good recently. He's got an excellent chance. More game and bottle than 'Tiger Tim' ever did.

Fed very much the man to beat, though.

Is Fawlty Towers the best sitcom?
